Freaking Deer!

I am a semi vegetarian which means I do not eat red meat. I have been like this since age 15, BUT I am not a slushy vegetarian who thinks every bunny should run free. I am a big supporter of deer hunting because they are over-run in Iowa. Tonight after leaving Jason's parents house we encountered not one herd of deer in the road but two. I was following Jason (who was driving the car) in the van with all 3 kids sounds alseep. The second set of deer made him and an oncoming car swerve at the same time and I swear I about choked on my own heart! Luckily all passed by safely including the stupid deer. I think they are beautiful animals and I definitely am not interested in eating one, but I know plenty of guys who love to hunt them and many Iowans are fans of deer sausage. I think it is too bad they still put a small limit on the amount one hunter can bag since these furry Bambis can be seen even in the city of Cedar Rapids roaming at night. One of my biggest fears is that I will hit one, especially with the kids in the car. So far knock on wood I have not hit one yet.
