Adventures in decorating and WHOA that is too bright!

Ok the winter blahs must be getting me and after having so much fun with Piper's room I decided to paint where the big people roam. Our living room is already a calming sage green that we love and I wanted to add in some ocean blues to the green. I picked a color that exactly matched my peacock fiestaware and the result we tried SO hard to like, really we did. It was way too bright. Even now looking at the 2" sample I love this color but on the wall in semi gloss it was overpowering the soft sage. Exhausted but determined I went back to Sherwin Williams for a new color we picked out together. It really is handy having your own colordeck at home. They sell them for $10 in the store but I got mine free about a year ago. How I will never tell and no I did not steal it, just did not give it back to a painter who ripped us off, oh I just told ack! LOL Anyway enjoy the pics of the bright bright blue and then the new a little bright but much more agreeable "Freshwater" color. I would love to have the job of naming paint! Now...what qoute could I stencil on the blue? he he he

That is pretty bold :) I can't wait to see the new color. It's fun to have pictures of your house in various states of color and furniture. I like looking back through old holiday pictures and seeing our house "grow up" over the last 5 years.
